Last Minute Gift Idea: Knotted Headband *pattern*

My 2nd gift idea is a simple but really cute knotted headband.  These can be made in about 15 mins or so, so you can give them as gifts in groups of 2 or 3 to a few special girls in your life!  Its also a great way to get rid of some scrap yarn you may have laying around in your stash. Hope you enjoy :-)

Knotted Headband
Created by Brittany for CreativeMe!

5.5mm hook
measuring tape

Make a chain about 120 inches longs (if the recipient is a child, chain around 80-95 inches.) tie off

I used a book to wrap the chain around

Wrap a separate piece of yarn around to make the 'knot'

Tie a knot and weave in the ends. Cut off an loose pieces and voila! You're done :-)

That could be converted to a chunky scarf pattern too! Thanks a lot!

Great hair pattern, but would work up nicely as a chunky scarf too. Thanks a lot.

Hi Brittany - I'm so glad I found you. I've been crocheting for 45 years. Hundreds of flannel baby blankets and purp bibs. Never individual iteams like this. I'm having so much fun. I have a very French granddaughter so I'm doing the French Beannie.

Can you tell me the thickness that I need to wrap the chain around? Like the book - how long was it across? Because you know, I want it to fit my head correctly, you can't just wrap it around anything! You know what I mean? haha
Thanks!!

I like the idea! Why not just chain your 120" then slip stitch it to make a circle, then you can do a head wrap

HI Thank you for sharing this quick cute pattern but I have a question. What is the size of the book you used to wrap? What will the finished sizes be for adult headband & what is the finished size for the child's size?
