Thanks a bunch!!
so cute! everytime i attempt a bow, it comes out looking crazy! but this headband makes me want to try again!
Awww! lol, I think I may record a video on how to do it and post it on youtube.. but I'm pretty shy...so it'll just be my voice. Hopefully it will help u out, cuz they're really easy and fun to make!
Hey! Thanks for the pictures and the pattern. You make it look so easy. I am a beginner. I am attempting this one. I am having difficulty understanding the pattern. I am not sure if I'm doing it right. Did you make a video? I will start fourth row of the bow next.
what does this mean "ch 2, hdc across"
and
"fasten off and weave ends" mean?
How do you fasten off?
I know hdc means half double crochet, but what does chain 2 mean here? Thank you
ch 2 means 'chain 2' just means that you make 2 chains. 'hdc across' means that you do 1 half double crochet in each stitch all the way across. Fasten off and weave ends is your very last step. fasten off just means that you make a slip stitch and pull tight. to weave in the ends, I just take a big needle (not sure the correct name for them) and I weave the tail in so it won't come un-done
Thank you! I made this after seeing your pattern! I posted a video on youtube for how it looks and created your blog.
I noticed your bow looks thicker. Did you fold it? Use special yarn?

Yes, its folded. I also have another post with smaller bows that u may wanna check out. Its pretty much the same as this one, but I think it may be a little bit easier. Its called bows, bows, bows <3
I love it! It's cute.
thank u <3
I love this!!! Going to try to knit one for a baby. Thanks for the pattern! I love your stuff!
Forgive my ignorance, but how did you secure the head band to your head? Did you tie it in the back or is it a big loop that you slip over you head?
OMGoodness! This is so cute. I enjoyed reading your blogsite today and am getting ready to "try" and make this "Big Bow" headband for my niece. Thank You for sharing!
I am so loving this simple pattern. Believe me I will be making a bunch of these! Thx!
Thanks! I've been meaning to look for a bow pattern for my daughter's Halloween costume (Camilla Cream from the book A Bad Case of Stripes). Luckily this one came right to my inbox thanks to AllFreeCrochet. Thank you for sharing your pattern!
Glad you guys are enjoying this pattern!
Brittany, thanks so much for sharing your adorable bow patterns! I should've thanked you a lot sooner but it really helped me survive Christmas last year :)
I don't understand how you can change the bow. Is the headband tied in the back?
Your bags and bows are so adorable! I haven't crocheted for many years, but these look like a quick way to get back into it - now off to buy some hooks and yarn! Thanks for the cute inspiration!
I tried this pattern for the very first time last night and it came out delicious so thank you! I'll absolutely be making more of these! here's a link to my blog where you can see the finished product:-D prettytallprincess.blogspot.com
love it. will definitely make for myself.
How do you connect the headband, especially if the bows are interchangeable? Also, regarding the center of bow, you chain 10 and sc in 2nd ch from hook. What do you do with the other chains? For the bow, when you "fold the strip in half to form a cuff, does that mean from end to end and then you sew all the way around?
The headband goes through the middle piece so the bow slides on and off easily. For the center of the bow, yo chain 10 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and continue to sc until you get to the end. For the bow, you fold it so the short ends are touching and sew them together. Hope that helps :-)
these are soooo cute, thanks Molly will love them ;she loves pink!!!!!
Molly will love this;she loves pink. She's my shepard-terrier mix!!!!
Is it just me, but I have no pictures showing what this looks like.
I have no clue what happened to all the pictures on my blog. I'm trying to locate them so I can put them back up
I'm having the same problem...no pictures. Hopefully, you can retrieve them and repost them.
It's really very pretty but make them in vibrant and bright colours.
