My Son's Bookbag *Pattern*

My son love's the show "Go Diego, Go!"... It seems like he just watches it for Diego's rescue pack, his magical backpack that does any and everything (much like Dora the Explorer), so I decided to make him one. This is my own pattern, and my son loves it. His daycare teachers say he refuses to take it off throughout the day!!
Now that my son is older, I have an updated pattern for a bigger version of this bag here

Hope U Enjoy! I'd love to see your finished work, so please feel free to email me pictures so I can feature your work on my blog!

Great pattern, but are you sure it's complete? It seems to start with "MC8" - I've been crocheting for years, and I've never seen that instruction before. And the instructions of round 1 that follow do not seem to relate to whatever "MC 8" might mean.

Yes I'm sure its complete. MC stands for magic circle, its just another way to start a project. This project is started from the bottom and u work your way up. There are many tutorials on youtube on how to do the magic circle. Here's a link here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHYVutk2iYY

What kind of yarn did you use for this?

I loved the pattern and started making it for my friend's son. In round 2 I got 22 dcs (without counting the ch2). When I proceeded to rd3 I am getting only 27 dcs not counting the ch2. And if you do the counting (i.e. every 4th dc in rd2 gets 2 dcs in rd3 right)it also gives 27 dcs in rd3. Where am I going wrong? Please help me. Thanks.

Priya, sorry I'm just getting back to you. But it could be a mistake in my counting... If you keep going, I don't think you'll have any problems with the outcome of the bag

This bag is to cute, I'm gonna have to try making it.
Is this bag big enough to put school books in?

You mentioned we could sell what we make. I was wondering if that also included online stores.

I'll give oyu full credit for the pattern. It's so cute and your little boy outshines it
